These terms apply to wvhealthprices.com, civichealthdata.com, and any other websites operated by Civic Health Data LLC (collectively, the “Site”).

What This Site Is

This Site provides access to hospital price data sourced from machine-readable files that hospitals are required to publish under federal law (45 CFR § 180.50). We collect, normalize, and display this data to make it easier to compare hospital prices.

We are a data publisher. We are not a healthcare provider, insurance company, medical advisor, financial advisor, or benefits consultant.

Data Accuracy and “As-Is” Disclaimer

Hospital price data is sourced directly from files published by hospitals. We do not create, estimate, model, or modify the underlying rate data. Errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in hospital-published files will be reflected in the data we display.

Known limitations of this data include:

• Rates may not reflect your specific insurance plan or contract
• Rates may not be current — hospitals update files annually at minimum, but rates can change between updates
• CMS enforcement of the price transparency rule is ongoing — some hospitals publish incomplete or inaccurate files
• Displayed rates are negotiated rates, not your out-of-pocket cost

The data on this Site is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from your physician, insurance company, benefits administrator, or qualified financial advisor.

The data displayed on this Site is sourced from publicly available government-mandated disclosures and is not owned by Civic Health Data LLC. Hospital price data is published by hospitals under federal law and is not our proprietary information.

The Site design, user interface, normalization methodology, search tools, and other original elements of this Site are owned by Civic Health Data LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute these elements without written permission.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use this Site for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, harvest, or systematically download data from this Site without written permission
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the operation of this Site
• Misrepresent the source or accuracy of data obtained from this Site
• Resell or redistribute data obtained from this Site without a data licensing agreement with Civic Health Data LLC
